What are the benefits of Accredited Status?
Accredited Forensic Practitioner status confers the right to use the postnominals AFP. This level of membership indicates that the individuals concerned are competent forensic practitioners in their field and can therefore be considered experts. Their expertise is underpinned by qualifications, experience and a commitment to CPD to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills in practice. Accredited members have the option to have their name held on the Forensic Science Society’s Register of Accredited Forensic Practitioners which is a public searchable register. Having your name on the Register provides public confidence and greater assurance to the courts and the Criminal Justice System.
How do I apply?
Applicants may complete the designated application form please ensure that the required supplementary documentation is submitted to the Forensic Science Society.
