Following the closure of the Council for the Registration of Forensic Practitioners [CRFP] and the promotion of appropriate international standards in forensic science, smaller organisations and individual practitioners have not had a mechanism to demonstrate and register their forensic competence.
The Forensic Science Society Register aims to fill this void for such practitioners. The purpose of this presentation is to give a brief history of the inception of the register and to set out the assessment process
